Fidelity Bank is pleased to announce Michael Ortiz has joined its team in Raleigh as Senior Vice President and Market Executive. In his new position, Mr. Ortiz is responsible for coaching and developing a team of commercial bankers and for providing outstanding service to customers of the Fidelity Bank branches located at 5700 Creedmoor Road and 600 Oberlin Road.
Michael has over twenty-one years of financial experience. Prior to joining Fidelity Bank, he worked for First National Bank of Pennsylvania as a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager. He also held banking positions with BBVA Compass Bank, Suntrust Bank, Bank of America, First Midwest Bank, National City Bank/PNC Bank, and BB&T. Michael is also active in the community as a head coach for the North Carolina Football Club U9 youth challenge soccer team. He was also a board member, treasurer, and finance committee chair of the Durham Literacy Center from 2019 to 2024.
Mr. Ortiz graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. He is also a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Finance and Accounting. He currently resides in Apex with his wife, Emily, and their three children.
