This past week, Fidelity Bank was a hospitality sponsor for the 2024 Habitat for Humanity Building Blitz. Many employees from Fidelity Bank volunteered their time to help serve food to the builders and other volunteers at the event. The Home Builders Blitz event brings together local builders and other industry professionals to build homes in just one week.
This event began more than 20 years ago, in 2002, and has brought nearly 100 new, affordable homes to Wake County and more than 2,000 homes nationwide. This week, volunteers helped to build four affordable, energy efficient homes in Wake County for four deserving families. Habitat is building a total of 114 homes in a southeast Raleigh subdivision on Old Poole Place dedicated to first-time home buyers.
Each day of this seven-day event, they had up to 250 volunteers work on these building projects. Fidelity Bank associates worked together to feed lunch to volunteers. In addition, of the eight local home builders that helped to make this event happen, five of them were Fidelity Bank customers! Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the builders and supporters, including Homestead Building Company, Rock Creek Builders, Revolution Homes, Sundance Signature Homes, and Triple A Homes, all four homes are now complete and ready for their families.
