Fidelity Bank is pleased to announce Lauren Hines has joined its team as Vice President and Controller. In her new position, Mrs. Hines is responsible for managing Fidelity Bank’s accounting department, including day-to-day, month-end, and year-end operations. She is responsible for reviewing and approving all internal management and external regulatory financial reporting, including the preparation of the bank’s audited financial statements. Her office is at Fidelity Bank’s headquarters, located at 100 South Main Street in Fuquay-Varina.
Lauren has twelve years of financial experience. Prior to joining Fidelity Bank, she worked for KPMG LLP as a Senior Audit Manager. She has held multiple other public accounting positions over a twelve-year span at KPMG’s Boston and Raleigh offices. In addition to her financial background, Lauren is active in the community. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). She also volunteers in the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) and on the social committee for her neighborhood HOA.
Mrs. Hines graduated from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. She is also a certified public accountant (CPA) licensed in both North Carolina and Massachusetts. She currently resides in Apex with her husband, Spencer Hines, and has two children.
